Dr. Margaret G. Kibben is the First Woman to Serve as a Chaplain in the Houses of Congress

Dr. Margaret G. Kibben serves as the Chaplain of the United States House working on the front lines to assist people in need.

Also a Navy Chaplain for over 30 years, she led over 2,500 religious ministry professionals in the Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard.

She has been a trusted advisor to senior military officers, providing insight into resilience, ethics, and moral character.

Previously, she served as a command chaplain for Combined Forces Command in Afghanistan, advising Afghan and American leaders.

She has been actively involved in exploring conflicts related to national and international issues to empower women in the territories of peace prevention.

Mr. Kibben states that the Corps of Chaplains is typically the initial responder in situations involving an individual’s health and overall well-being.

We see ourselves as being on the front lines if we want to help people when something happens and they don’t know who to turn to for help.

The Value of Chaplain’s Access Everywhere

Chaplains and the corps of chaplains, in general, have valuable access everywhere.

Like in the Jethro Civil Diplomat.Org we always value the access recognized by the international laws and by our credentials as Civil Diplomats and Chaplains Jethro.

And Chaplains have the opportunity to help people because we have access almost everywhere.

Especially in a crisis, what I hope people understand and certainly is the head of chaplains who have access to information.

100% Confidentiality

Chaplains have 100% confidentiality and know what the system is and how to help guide people where they can get assistance in medical, mental health care, war, or advocacy.

The other challenge is that you people often think that we are obligated to report a situation.

We don’t report anything. What you say to me stays with me, as does what you say to any of our chaplains. We are not mandatory reporters.

As showed above, it is crucial to highlight the significance of Dr. Margaret’s efforts in promoting the importance of Chaplain Corps to Heads of Government and also to the people.

So, Chaplains can provide impartial support and advice, making them valuable advisors.

By revealing the true meaning behind the chaplaincy service, she helps us see beyond its operational aspects and appreciate what it truly means to be a chaplain.
